MAXWELL STEER
PRESIDENT
Howdy Everyone! My name is Maxwell, and I am the returning President of ChemU! I am in my 6th and final year of chem eng and am incredibly excited to see what this year holds. The course union has a lot of exciting stuff coming up, and I am so glad I can be a part of it. When I am not doing a class or student group work, I am probably running, playing Mario Kart, or chilling at the beach.

MARK ANTONY-NEWMAN
VP FINANCE
My name is Mark Antony-Newman and I am this year's VP Finance for ChemU. I am going into my third year of Chemical Engineering having completed a 16 month co-op work term at a gypsum wallboard manufacturing plant. Outside of class you can find me studying at the SLC, working out at the MAC, or hanging out someplace else on campus. This is going to be my second year in a row in the VP Finance role, and I am excited to help ChemU host lots of great events and help out undergraduate chemical engineering students.

BEHRAD BAHADORI
CO - VP OPERATIONS
Hi all! I'm Behrad, aka Brad, one of your Co-VP Operations, and I make sure Chemu's operations run smoothly. I'm going into my second year of Chemical Engineering. A fun fact about me is that I love rock and metal music! I also love being involved in the TMU community, so wherever you see a student club, you'll probably meet me there.​

VENNILAA PATHMASRI
CO - VP OPERATIONS
Hey! I'm Vennilaa, one of your VP Operations :) I’m in my fourth year of Chemical Engineering. In my role, I handle administrative tasks, develop merchandise, and coordinate events like Welcome Back Night, Industry Night, and more. My goal is to ensure our events are executed successfully, run smoothly, and that planning is completed on time, all while making sure our students have a great experience. I am excited to rejoin ChemU this school year, and with our team, I am looking forward to making it a memorable one!

ALEXANDER JASON PAGCO TALOSIG
CO - VP ACADEMIC
I'm a student in the Chemical Engineering Program currently returning for my 4th Year following my co-op at Toronto Hydro. I have a passion for the application of Chemical Engineering in improving environmental conditions and safety.

In the coming Fall and Winter 2024-2025 terms I'm looking forward to helping fellow Chemical Engineering students in their academics and studies in my role as VP Academics.

PRAGASH THEVASINGHA
CO - VP ACADEMIC
As re-elected Co-VP Academics, I'll have the great opportunity again to enrich the academic journey for Chemical Engineering students. I plan on organizing Industry Speaker Nights, MATLAB/Excel tutorials, course-specific study sessions, and more, aiming to broaden our understanding of the diverse career opportunities within the field. I will also continue to help on "ChemEng Noted," a comprehensive lecture and tutorial note bank that supports students at all levels by providing valuable study resources. These initiatives will allow us to help create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students can gain the skills and knowledge they need to succeed.

GIANLUCA BIASUTTO
CO - VP EXTERNAL
Gianluca Biasutto is a Third Year Chemical Engineering student that will be serving as Co-Vice President of Externals at ChemU. He is an experienced member as he is a returning member to ChemU. Gianluca will play an instrumental role in representing ChemU to external professional industries as well as academic institutions, in order to collaborate. Their responsibilities encompass reaching out to companies and other groups within TMU and ensuring effective communication. Gianluca is excited to contribute to ChemU and is ready to get started!

ELLA UGWU
CO - VP EXTERNAL
As the Vice President of External/Outreach for ChemU, I act as the liaison between the Chemical Engineering Undergraduate student body, ChemU, and external organizations such as CSChE, AIChE, and the Chem-E-Car Design Team. I focus on building relationships with corporations to organize events like plant tours and guest speakers, and I secure funding for ChemU events through sponsorships and donations. My role also involves coordinating events that connect with external resources and organizations outside of the Toronto Metropolitan community.

LUCAS ARCANJO GARCIA BUCHOLTZ

Hi everybody! If you do not know me from last year, I am the fun part of TMUChemU. Whatever event we host, I will be there 100%. DAMILOLA SHOGA
CO - VP SOCIAL
My name is Damilola Shoga. I’m Nigerian-Canadian. I’m a Co-VP social and in my second year. My hobbies include; playing Chess, exercising, reading books(Sci-fi is my favourite) and manga. My favourite show is “Arcane”. My favourite book is “Children of Time” and my favourite manga is "Chainsaw man”. I also think cats are the peak of evolution.

Angela is a fourth-year Chemical Engineering student. She will be joining ChemU in 2024/2025 as Co-VP of Communications dedicated to attracting and informing student of new upcoming events! Her passions include painting and sewing!

Hello! My name is Emily, and I am one of the Co-VP of Communications for ChemU. I'm in my third year of chemical engineering and can't wait to see all the fantastic events ChemU will put on this year! Whether it be an Instagram post or some cool ChemEng merch, I'll be one of the masterminds behind it.

If I'm not studying, you can probably find me in a SLC Study Room watching movies on the TVs or listening to various music genres.
